VemoZyme® deTox

Balanced formula of sequestering agents, deToxifying enzymes and probiotic bacteria. Useful tool in the fight against mycotoxins.

VemoZyme® deTox is your comprehensive solution to combat the adverse effects of mycotoxins in animal feed.

This unique formula integrates powerful sequestering agents, deToxifying enzymes, and beneficial probiotic bacteria to neutralize a wide range of mycotoxins, including aflatoxin B1, ochratoxin A, fumonisin B, deoxynivalenol, and zearalenone. By binding and breaking down these toxic substances, VemoZyme® deTox prevents their absorption in the gastrointestinal tract, thereby safeguarding animal health and improving overall productivity.

What are mycotoxins?

Mycotoxins is the collective name given to toxic chemical products of the vital activity of some aerobic organisms. They are known in the literature by various names, such as: simple fungi, molds, micromycetes, toxigenic fungi or mold fungi.

Mycotoxins in animal feed pose significant challenges, impacting animal health, productivity, and profitability.

  1. Animal Health Issues:

1.1. Toxicity: Mycotoxins can cause a range of health problems in animals, including liver damage, immune suppression, and reproductive issues.

1.2. Reduced growth rates: Chronic exposure to mycotoxins can lead to stunted growth and poor feed efficiency, impacting overall productivity.

1.3. Increased mortality: Severe contamination can result in high mortality rates, particularly in young or vulnerable animals.

  1. Economic losses:

2.1. Decreased productivity: Health issues caused by mycotoxins can reduce milk yield in dairy cows, egg production in poultry, and weight gain in livestock, leading to financial losses.

2.2. Treatment costs: Addressing the health impacts of mycotoxin exposure often involves veterinary costs, medication, and additional feed supplements.

  1. Product safety: Mycotoxin contamination can affect the marketability of animal products such as meat, milk, and eggs, leading to potential market rejection.
  2. Consumer confidence: Ensuring that animal products are free from mycotoxins is essential for maintaining consumer trust and market access.
  1. Mycotoxin neutralization: Neutralizes a wide range of mycotoxins in animal feed, including aflatoxin B1, ochratoxin A, fumonisin B, deoxynivalenol, and zearalenone.
  2. Toxin absorption prevention: Prevents absorption of mycotoxins in the gastrointestinal tract, safeguarding animal health.
  3. Gut microflora balance: Enhances gut microflora balance, promoting better digestive health.
  4. Productivity: Improves overall productivity by maintaining animal health.
  5. Cost-effectiveness: Provides a cost-effective solution for feed producers.
  6. Environmental safety: Offers an environmentally safe option for managing feed quality.

Elevate your feed quality and protect your livestock with VemoZyme® deTox – the definitive ally in the fight against mycotoxins.

  1. An efficient approach against the toxic effects of mycotoxins is converting them into non-toxic molecules through a process called biotransformation.
  2. Efficient decontamination agents, due to their biocatalytic nature and deToxification abilities.
  3. Act as natural catalysts by accelerating the specific biochemical reaction for which they were intended.
  4. Prevent the absorption of mycotoxins in the digestive tract.

The combat with the mycotoxins involves implementing comprehensive feed management practices, investing in regular testing and monitoring, and adopting preventive measures by using mycotoxin binders or inhibitors in feed such as VemoZyme® deTox.

VemoZyme® deTox is applied at a dose of 300 g/t feed.

The supplementation with VemoZyme® deTox significantly improves growth performance and FCR and reduces mortality rate.

Figure 2. EPEF index*

*EPEF (European Production Efficiency Factor) = (Livability,%*BW,kg/Age,d*FCR)*100

The addition of VemoZyme® deTox in broilers’ feed results in a higher EPEF index.

Supplementation with VemoZyme® deTox results in a noticeable decrease in mycotoxins levels in feed and feces.

Figure 4. Effect of VemoZyme® deTox supplementation on litter E. coli and C. perfringens counts

VemoZyme® deTox supplementation significantly reduces mycotoxin absorption and mitigates bacterial proliferation and E.coli counts in the litter.  The addition of VemoZyme® deTox to the feed gives remarkable results against C. perfringens and reduces its count in litter by 91.3%. The recommended dose of 0.3g/kg VemoZyme® deTox in broiler diet resulted in healthier and more productive animals.
