driving superior growth, health and productivity.

Animal feed is often contaminated with toxins, particularly mycotoxins, which are produced by fungi such as Aspergillus, Fusarium, and Penicillium. Mycotoxins (aflatoxins, fumonisins, and zearalenone) can cause severe health issues in livestock, including reduced growth, reproductive disorders, weakened immune systems, and even death. Contaminated feed also reduces productivity, increasing economic losses for farmers. Ingested toxins are challenging to eliminate as they can persist in the animal’s system, affecting meat, milk, or eggs, thereby posing food safety risks for humans.

Feed additives are a practical and effective way to inactivate or prevent toxins in animal feed and mitigate their effects. Adopting innovative strategies to prevent mycotoxin contamination and treat the contaminated and diseased livestock animals is vital.
